For her Fall 2015 collection, Nanette Lepore was all about fun, girly, youthful rebellion with a dash of sophistication. Bohemian vibes met military details and tailored suiting for looks that were fully feminine in dusty rose and sapphire blue, but also carried an attitude that they mean business. Relaxed silhouettes dominated the collection, from swingy a-line skirts and capelets to easy tunics and loungewear-like sets. Slightly more mature options came in the form of high-waisted sailor pants with silky fitted blouses , but retained Lepore's girlish flair. Bold, ornamental prints in gold added a touch of opulence and depth. In contract to the blossoming tone were looks in all black that pulled the direction into more goth territory. Personally, I think Leopre could have done without the latter; between the keyhole closures and hippie sleeves they were a bit too reminiscent of the '90's a la The Craft and "tattoo" chokers, in what was an otherwise perfectly fresh and appropriate collections for the fashion-forward young (or young at heart).
