To celebrate the start of Summer, Giorgio Brutini and sister brand GBX took over Ludlow Studios last night for the aptly named #CocktailsandShoes (which just happen to be two of my favorite things).  For obvious reasons, men's footwear carries little appeal to me personally.  But you can't underestimate the power of a good pair of shoes on a man and I was excited to see what the lines have to offer.  With a wide range of styles from fashion dress to casual, Giorgio Brutini and GBX have options that will appeal to guys who fall on either end of the fashion-concious vs. comfort spectrum.

The evening itself, however, was more about fun than it was footwear.  The cocktails were flowing as promised, courtesy of sponsors Vodkila Vodka, William Wolf whiskey, and Peroni Beer.  The Dobbs Dawg House food truck kept partygoers' hunger in check while DJ Abe Clement kept the energy up inside.  Guests who discovered the back room even challenged each other to rounds of table tennis.  The atmosphere was refreshingly laid back and celebratory, feeling much more like a friendly Summer soiree than a pushy product promotion.  Props to Giorgio Brutini PR Manager Geff Yabes and Marketing VP Barry Specht who managed to integrate branding in an entertaining way with the #CocktailsandShoes hashtag.  Eyepster shades featuring the moniker in keeping with the Summer theme were an especially clever touch.
