Lush cosmetics has finally opened its New York spa in the Upper East side!!! (Note the excitement).
Lush is known for its massive line of fresh, handmade cosmetics and already has a ton of stores. With its organic, vegetarian ingredients, campaigns against animal testing, and downright delightful beauty and bath concoctions, the brand has picked up fans around the world. I've been a loyal follower ever since discovering it a couple years back; Rehab shampoo and conditioner saved my hair when I fried it, Dream Cream does wonders for my skin, and there are enough variations of fizzy bath bombs to fit my mood at any given moment.
Even though Lush has already introduced its spa concept in other countries, the 61st and Lexington location is the first to open in the U.S. On the second floor above its store, the spa offers treatments that are just as offbeat and inspired as its products. Synaesthesia is described as a "transformative, multi-sensory massage for the mind, body and soul," while The Sound Bath combines "ancient rituals of ear candling, tuning fork vibrations, singing bowls and a made-to-measure soundtrack". From the unconventional treatments to the cozy, rustic decor, getting pampered at the Lush spa is no doubt one of the most luxurious way to get back to nature if you live in NYC.
